The
Fifty Question meme If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? Drawing & writing.
Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? Both. A little of both. I take care of my family and my friends. I believe in that. But I also think I should be doing something more. I’m settled with my comfortable life instead of fighting for whatever that something more is. I used to take-it-to-the-streets, but now I’m more about giving money so that others can take-it-to-the-streets.
I keep rereading the question, I don’t believe I’ve answered what they’re asking, but I’m settling for what I’ve done.
If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? I can’t answer this. I mentioned it to Lauren who said that if the average lifespan were 40 years she certainly wouldn’t have spent more than half of that time in school. She’s about to graduate university and is pretty tired of the whole process.
I say that maybe if we were all like those little genius kids in Ender’s Game, we could accomplish a lot in 40 years. Otherwise, the same restrictions would apply to my 40 year left as applies to my current lifespan.
To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? My life, like any other, is not a journey I’ve taken alone. At times, I’ve been more in control, at other times, much less so. I’ve been forced to relinquish control because world events, the dictates of my, and other, governments, family obligations, and other considerations have made it so. I’d think that within those constraints, which are always there, I’ve controlled my life to a reasonable degree.
Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? I’ve never much worried about doing the right things since the definition of RIGHT shifts and changes depending on age, gender, culture, time, and Right as defined by who. I do what I believe is right as rightly as I can. End of story.
Ten done out of fifty :)
