I wanted to give everyone an update on our progress for the Team Challenge program for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and the half marathon. The hubs and I set up a blog to make it easier to follow our progress (and save you from further updates). We both post our thoughts and experiences as we continue our training as well as how each of us are coping with the training schedule and the disease. If you would like to follow, please click on the link below:
The blog is called One Step at a Time:
http://bankers-onestepatatime.blogspot.com/ Also, I think I might have mentioned this earlier, but just in case...I wanted to let you know that I've decided to carry a list of names with me through the 1/2 marathon. These are people we know, or friends and loved ones of people who have generously contributed to our fundraising efforts, who live with, or were taken by, IBD. I wanted to carry these names with me to symbolize crossing this finish line together.
We have been overwhelmed by the generous donations we've received thus far. Thank you so much to all who have donated. Your contributions and generosity mean so much to not only us, but the 1.4 million Americans who suffer from this disease.
If you would like to donate, please visit our fundraising site here:
http://www.active.com/donate/MA11TCVEGASKC/kcMBanker Every little bit makes a difference! But please do not feel obligated or compelled. Your virtual support means the world to me.
Oh, and if you have a name of a friend or loved one you would like me to add to the list, please share it with me. So far, I have 15 names of people who will be crossing that finish line with me.
