I will hurt tomorrow, but for now it doesn't matter. I haven't climbed a wall since the 7th grade when I was the first kid to climb up the intermediate wall at a church retreat. I was coexed to lend my sneakers to a guy who wore size 10 shoes. He didn't make it up the wall and probaly stretchedy sneakers in the process, but that's old news.
I signed the appropriate waivers, strapped on a harness, and had a cursory evaluation up the beginner wall. I made it up the next side with little problem but the middle wall rejected any advances it made it only got up about a third of the way up before I lost my grip. It was fun though. I was told my arms would burn but they didn't. They probably will tomorrow.
I asked a guy where to buy climbing shoes, the irony.
