Oh ... so many good (and intriguing) moments in here.

Faves - love that he got a BAFTA for Hammersmith

Love that he got a nomination for Red River. So much for gay actors not being able to play straight.

Great name for the Sunset Boulevard remake and glad that it got made.

Hope Diane helped to keep Jimmy in line making the Man date movie and wouldn't we love the story of that set!

Love the idea of working Brian into a couple of franchises - the Oceans 11 and X-men - clever and a great way to introduce Rage via x-men.

Would love a decent movie of Left Hand of Darkness. One of my favourite ever books. And Brian would be wonderful in that role.

Glad he got his LGBTI history docco made. Like to think of the film of Vic and all the others getting an airing.

Don't have to tell you that I really like the idea of an Enchanted Cottage remake.

Greatest compliment in this list (and one I'm sure Brian would value highly) is the J. Edgar movie with Clint directing.

Still giggling over the idea of Jimmy in a film about soccer.

Of course, Orpheus - oh, how wonderful would this matching be - Brian Kinney and Emma Thompson. That would be magic.

Glad that Eastern Front finally got made. Jimmy is talking himself into all these roles in Brian's movies, isn't he?

And love the idea of Brian in The Post. Such an important movie.

And ... a Star is Born. Really? Now that is an intriguing idea.

Wonderful list, Gael. Thank you so much for putting together this glimpse into Brian's future.

It was so much fun putting the filmography together and imagining
the kinds of roles he'd be cast in. Note he DID do "Cat on a Hot Tin
Roof" in London with Dorian directing, which led to other stage roles,
especially Tennessee Williams, which he was born to play!

I think the film I can most envision is "West of Sunset" -- picture Sir
Kenneth as the aged movie star and Brian as the writer/gigilo. I
would love to see that!

Note that even Ben Bruckner's novel about the two men in love
in Paris in the Thirties is there! And yes "The Eastern Front" got
made and really was an epic!

Anyway, that was really fun.
