Lying boyfriend - and Justin thinks only about the Ethan episode. It's good that some of the feelings that should have been discussed years earlier are coming to the fore but it is callous and disturbing that Robbie is so easily dismissed by Justin. What's the old adage - "If you had an affair with your current lover expect them to have an affair again on you"? It still seems like the physical attraction is the driving force and only real connection between Brian and Justin.
Office affairs/romances are always a bad idea. It certainly is so here. Justin knows what is going on is wrong and unprofessional, so does Brian, if he would let himself think about it, but that won't stop Justin who embraces the end justifies the means philosophy. Kinnetic would appear to be a well-run business and an employee fucking the boss is bound to have the gossip mongers running wild as well as breeding resentment in the office. Brian's firing protection will only go so far. Cynthia has got to be frustrated by her restrictions to prevent the impending disaster, personally for Brian and professionally. She's smart, savy, professional and cares about Brian and his company. The talk you wrote between her and Justin was a perfect mix of caring, empathy,protectiveness and reality. Really well done!
