"Queer Theories" drawing to an end
Some of your may know that my infamous epic, The Queer Theories Stream, is drawing
to an end. Love it or hate it, it's one of those things that has been ubiquitous in the QAF
fandom for the past ten years. Yes, ten years -- coming up this April 15 will be the tenth
anniversary of the posting of the first chapter, "Lasagna." And now it's time to wrap this
sucker up. Really.
I remember that when I started writing it and got to chapter 20 or so I thought, "Gee, this
is getting long!" Little did I imagine...
A number of readers have told me over the years that they'd give the thing a read when it
was finished. Well, that day is coming, so block out a nice chunk of your time! LOL!
In the interest of those who might be curious how this monster began, I'm posting the links
to the first two sections, "Queer Theories" and "Queer Realities." These sections are on my
website and should be complete there (the site has moved a couple of times and I've had to
recreate a few things along the way, so please let me know if anything is missing). The final
section is still in progress, with the first thirty or so chapters on the website and the rest on
LiveJournal. Again, if you are missing something, contact me and I'll make sure you have
everything. There is also a lot of material available in the Files section of my Yahoo Group.
I'll add that link as well.
"Queer Theories" is a long story (!) featuring the evolving relationship of Brian Kinney and Justin
Taylor. It diverges from canon after Episode 209 and from there... well, it's a different reality. Be
aware that there is love, angst, sex, some moments of violence (but mostly "off screen"), drama,
comedy, you name it. There are multiple narrators, mainly Brian and Justin, but we also hear from
Emmett, Michael, Debbie, Ted, Lindsay, Ben, and even Uncle Vic and Dr. Dave. There are also some
original characters as well as appearances by Daphne, Ethan, and others. Hey, it's an epic -- it's got
a big cast!
