To the Condo - June 2006
At the end of the week Mr. Dave and I will be making the trek
into the wilds of the Midwest to stay at the familial condo.
I'll continue my posts from there, probably posting the final
chapter of "Queer Realities" and continuing "The Outsiders"
as promised.
My sister (aka Banger Sister #1 -- my 9 year old niece is
Banger Sister #2) is currently "on tour" with Pearl Jam
(it's a long story -- think Deadheads, except less tie-dye),
but when she gets back she is, once again, having "work"
done on her house. I don't know if it's the SAME work from
last summer (which still isn't finished) but it will be done
by our old friend, Ed the Mason and his short, blond, live-in
assistant!
These two guys are an eye-candy extravaganza as they tool
around the back yard, shirtless, in tattered, low-riding
jeans, hoisting bricks, and pausing for frequent lemondade
breaks, as well as Ed having his butch brow mopped frequently
by the adoring Blondie. Masonry work must pay better than
brain surgery, because Ed lives in a fucking HUGE house,
owns a 40 ft. cabin cruiser, and he and Blondie take ski
trips and jaunts to the Caribbean while I'm spending MY
summer vacation at my mother's condo!

Nicole Kidman's wedding reception.
