suzie_b, we had to say goodbye to our little brown carpet shark tonight. Kokie was our most bold ferret. The little guy had no fear, and pushed the limits of our patience and the borders around him all the time. He pounced everything, tugged other ferrets and toys around, lept as high as he could, and defeated every barrier we could come up with until he finally found one he couldn't get over.
As we said goodbye, the memories of all the crazy things he did came flooding in, and I had to let go of the boy who treated me like I really was a ferret to play with. Though he wasn't necessarily the sharpest tool in the shed, he had heart, and would try anything to get away. And when he did, he'd casually saunter as though he was "just passing by".
Good bye my little crazy man, and enjoy being a free-range ferret.
