It's a good thing she can split her concentration.

Eiko is talking on the phone, which is plugged in her ear, as she works on a large, large project.

"...yes, at least four bedrooms, same number of bathrooms, large kitchen... if you can get heavy power cabling... no, that's not a requirement, it's a 'would be nice'. Not too conservative an area, my partner and I don't want to have to deal with it. Good schools. Should have at least a grocery within fifteen minutes walk, but fifteen minutes drive is all right, too. Large back yard. Yes, I know. Listen, hold... miss... yes. Just find it. Lowball it ten percent, but tell them it's cash. You can go up to the asking price, but at least TRY to negotiate." She listened, as she lays on the crawler, inside a metal tube.

"...that sounds good. And a pool? Very good. Sewer or septic? Perfect - I don't like septic systems. Get me the prospectus and the last assessment and inspection report, fax it to the number I gave you, and I'll take a look at it, and then we can arrange for my partner and I to come have a look. Thank you, Gloria, I think we should be able to do some business. Have a good day!" She clicked off the phone box on her belt and sighed. Real estate agents could be so very difficult.

She rolled out of the tube, then went across the small room to a panel. With the press of a few buttons, panels closed over the seal, and then it began to hum. Outside, there came a roaring sound.

She checked the panel, and sighs. "Dammit." This thing was old, old, old, and the weaponry on it was in crap shape. Still, it was free. She decided to call it quits for the day, and flipped switches. The hum turned into a soft whine, then went away.

She walked through a bulkhead, down a corridor lined with handholds and apparently made of nothing but sliding panels and disks on the floor, and then walked down a flight of stairs.

Coming out of the mouth of a massive robotic dragon nearly a hundred meters long, she turned around and shook her head. It flew, and it had power, but the weapons... well, eventually. She turned again, walking across the cavern. First the bridge over the pool that Eiko Robo was stored in, then around Phil the Mark XVIII Bolo, and to the metal square on the floor. A press of the button, and the pressor field shot her upwards.

The top hatch opened, and she hovered for a moment as it slid back into place, leaving her in the garage. MOGERA was complete again, the Caddy sat there, the motorcycle. These things she'd built herself; the Large Mechanism Storage was for things she'd found and worked on. Phil wasn't online yet, mostly because she hadn't gotten the command codes, and without those he might get kind of difficult. Eiko Robo had been something else, once, years ago, and eight months ago she'd found it, salvaged it mostly for the humor, and repainted it. Mekamanda was another find, and it was in the worst shape of the three.

Oh, well. She had time. And now time for some lunch!
