(no subject)
i have been tasked with throwing a murder mystery party next month for a friend's birthday. i am thinking of making it clue themed just so i can dress up like a french maid (the movie not the board game because there are more than 6 of us). ok not really but it crossed my mind. the reasoning. i may still do it clue themed. they don't really make a kit for that, which means i'd have to sort of wing it. so now i have to figure out what in the hell i'm actually going to do. this is so not my thing. i am not one who enjoys dressing up and playing pretend. the dressing up, yes, the role playing, notsomuch. not in adult ways, not in childish ways. i didn't even really ever do the play pretend with barbies thing. how i was in drama in high school for 3 years is a mystery i'll never fully understand.
anyway.
have any of you done this? do you have any advice beyond "for the love of all that is good, don't do it."?
did i tell you i made christmas ornaments with these same people a few weeks ago? we did. i think i did. i am too lazy to look it up. anyway, so yeah, looks like january's event is another party here where we all play dress up. wish me luck.
I am not in a shitty mood in general these days, i swear. things are swell. this post may lead you to believe otherwise, but i promise, life is good. i am just so so tired. i am also in disbelief that christmas is so close. the holidays are almost over, whoa. only a little over two weeks and hopefully we'll slow back down at work a tick. it's crazytown there these days, what with thanksgiving - christmas being pie season. so close to being done i can taste it. no big block of time off or anything, because new years is still kind of crazy, people bringing pies to parties, but nothing like the previous couple of months. i could use time to have lunch at work again, that would be nice. or sit down. sitting is always welcome.
it is painfully obvious that i am procrastinating, so i will force myself up and into the shower. my elbow is pretty gross looking, if i weren't so cheap and had a paid account, i'd possibly take a photo and show you. but eh. instead, i'll just tell you, it's icky and looks painful (and IS painful). so don't wedge your arm behind your bed, i don't recommend it at all.
