Christmas Lists- 3
The boys finished their shopping and walked out of the store, hands loaded with bags.
“Ya know,” Ren said as he struggled to get a comfortable grip on all the bags in one hand, “maybe we should have opted to have all this delivered.”
“Hm,” Gackt looked at his own hands where the circulation to his fingers was being cut off by the handles of the heavy bags.
Back into the store, and up to the concierge desk, and in five minutes they were on their way again, bag free.
They walked along in silence, Gackt brooding while Ren window shopped.
Gackt shoved his hands into his pockets as he thought. “What if I tell You how I feel? I mean, Chacha says he really likes me, but what if he’s wrong? What if You doesn’t really feel that way?”
“Are you kidding? We were all talking one day, and he let slip that he thinks he’s in love with you. And we were all like ‘Duh!’ And then he wondered if everybody else knew, how long would it take for you to notice. And he was worried it would affect your friendship. But then he figured you’d probably never notice. And Cha said we should start…” Ren clapped a hand over his mouth.
Gackt turned to look at him, eyes narrowed. ”Chacha said?”
“Well, yeah, but everybody jumped right on it.”
Ren turned to get Gackt’s reaction, but Gackt was no longer beside him. He turned around and found Gackt looking in a store window.
He walked back to see what had caught the singer’s attention.
“That’s nice. I think he’d love it.”
“You think so?”
“Yeah, I do.”
They walked into the jewelry store. “Yeah, I think so, too.”
