It had been a beautiful day- sunny and warm. But as the sun disappeared a chill had settled into You’s bones.
He sat in the living room, glass of wine in hand staring into the fire which was the only light in the room. He was so tired, and as he sat his eyes drifted closed. The glass slipped from his fingers, shattering on the floor, unheard by the guitarist.
“You.”
He looked up at the sound of his name.
Gackt stood in front of him, smiling and holding out his hand. “I’ve waited a long time for you.”
“I’m sorry,” You answered. “I didn’t mean to be so long.”
“It’s ok. I didn’t mind. I know you still had a lot of things to do.”
You reached out and took Gackt’s hand. The touch warmed him, and an aching loneliness that had shadowed him for years, shattered. “I’ve wanted to be with you for so long.”
“I’ve always been with you, you know.”
“I know, but I’ve missed seeing you, holding you, walking together.”
“I’m glad you kept your promise.”
“I didn’t want to. But I could never break a promise to you. Is it really time now?”
“Yes. It’s really time. We’ll never have to be separated again. Come on, let’s go home.”

“It’s ok. I didn’t mind. I know you still had a lot of things to do.”
You reached out and took Gackt’s hand. The touch warmed him, and an aching loneliness that had shadowed him for years, shattered. “I’ve wanted to be with you for so long.”
