Summary: Jon is seeing a ghost, but he has no idea who the mystery person is.
Authors note: This is my first "Halloween" story. Hope you enjoy this little fluff of a ghost story.
Jon sat in the studio putting the finishing touches on that nights work. Since he was always busy with YFC he had to use nights for FADE time. He was reviewing over some lyrics that he was writing. The deadline for the album was fast approaching and he had to get as much work done for Fade while he was still in Japan.
He checked his phone -3 a.m.
"Shit" Jon said. He started gathering up all his stuff, Gackt would be calling him in 2 hours for training.
Jon started shutting everything down. His mind was racing about all the stuff that he has to do. As he was leaving he caught a glimpse of someone standing in the studio. At first Jon didn't know what to make of it, he was sure he was alone, was he seeing things?
For a while Jon just stood there staring at the figure "Hello?"No answer. Jon's heart started to race; was someone in the building the whole time. "Who are you?" Jon called out. No answer. He clenched his phone in hand, ready to call the police. "If you don't answer me I am calling the cops" Jon shouted.
The figured moved about the studio, almost gracefully. He watched the mystery figure almost hover like over the equipment. The man..was it a man? Jon couldn't tell. He had on a dress and had long hair, but his facial features were that of a man.
Jon was lost in staring at the figure that he screamed when he phone rang.
"Hello?" Jon said in a shaky voice
"Jon,...are you ok?" It was Gackt "You sound terrified!"Jon took a couple of deep breaths
"I think so.. I saw a..." He stopped. The figure was gone. "You saw...what?" Gackt asked.
"Nothing" Jon said.
"Alright.Meet me at my house in a hour" Gackt said and hung up the phone.
He quickly walked out the building. He didn't know what he saw and he didn't know if he should tell Gackt about it.
*at the concert*
The band was running late, as always and Jon was only running on a few hours on sleep. He had forgotten all about what had the night before; his mind was focused on surviving the show tonight.
Jon was standing on the platform trying to direct some of the crew as to where to place the equipment. Everyone was running around trying to get stuff done at the last minute.
Jon looked around and something in the back caught his eye, it was the same figure he had seen last night in the studio. The man, he was convinced it was a man, was standing off to the side near the curtains, he was watching the band and crew set everything up.
"Jon! What are you doing?" Chacha asked "we need all the man power right now to finish setting up"
"Cha, come here" Jon said. Chacha walked over to where Jon was standing "Look over there" Jon said...."do you see a man that doesn’t belong to us" Chacha gave Jon a confused look..."no I don’t" he said. "I think you are over stressed and tired, but after this show you can rest for the next couple of days, let’s go"
For a minute Jon stood there staring at the man. Jon's heart stopped when he saw a crew member walk right through the man. He felt all the blood drain from his body and his hands started shaking.
“Jon! Jon!” Chacha shouted. Jon tired to walk off the platform but his legs were weak and he collapsed on the floor.
Chacha and U:zo came running over and got him backstage.“What happened?” Gackt demanded to know as he walked into the locker room.“he passed out” Chacha said.“Jon…Jon” Gackt lightly slapped Jon on the check.. “What happened, can you make it through the show tonight?”“Yea” Jon said in a weak voice. “I can make it”
Throughout the show Jon tired to take his mind off what he had seen but out of the corner of his eye he could still the figure standing on the side of the stage.
“Gackt-san can we talk” Jon approached Gackt after the show.
Jon told Gackt everything, from what he saw in the studio to what happened right before he fainted. “You think you are seeing a ghost?” Gackt asked.
“I don’t think, I know I am seeing one Gackt, one of the crew members walked right through him!”
“Jon…I think you just need some rest. You are over tired, over work and over stressed. Please rest.” Gackt said.
That night Jon couldn’t go to sleep. He just laid there in this bed thinking about the past two days. He couldn’t stake the image of the man. How come no one believed him? Jon drifted asleep.
Jon woke up in the middle of the night in sweat. He wasn’t sure why but his eye snapped open. He looked around his room and saw the man standing at the edge of his bed. Jon’s heart started to race.
“who…are you?” Jon asked in shaky voice. He had not been this scared in a long time.
At first the man didn’t talk he just stood there staring at Jon. “I can see why he likes you Jon” The man said.
“Who are you talking about? How do you know who I am? ” Jon said.
The man smiled. “Jon, do you know what the dead do with their time? We watch the living. I have been watching you since day one. I can say that I approve of Gackt-san choice. Just please, Don’t hurt him, Gackt may act tough but he is really sensitive.”
“Who are you?” Jon demanded. He stood up but as soon as he did the man disappeared.
Jon just stood there for a moment not knowing what to think. Did he dream that? Jon checked him phone 4 a.m.Gackt should be awake. He quickly called Gackt “I am coming over, we need to talk”
Jon sat in Gackt’s living room drinking tea, he wished had coffee right now but Gackt didn’t drink that.“So the ‘ghost’ knows my name” Gackt said.“Yes “Jon said “he said he approved of your decision to add me. Gackt what does that mean! Clearly this man knows you and you knew him” Jon said.
For a while Gackt didn’t talk. Jon hated to pry but he had to know who this man was. Finally Gackt got up and walked over the mantel above the fire place and took down a picture. “Was this man you saw?” Gackt asked as he handed the photo to Jon.
Jon couldn’t believe it. It was the man! “Omg” Jon said. “That’s him!”
“Figured” Gackt said with a smile “nice to know Kami is still around”
