FFVII: DoC and Crisis Core

Okay Spoilers. Mostly about Gackt's character who has all of 2 minutes in DoC (more explained under cut) but I don't know if Marcie cares to know his character's name or voice actor and stuff. Marcie, when you find out his voice actor, you're going to laugh. haha. and then more spoiler-ish (mostly speculation) in reguards to FFVII Crisis Core.
Gackt's character is named Genesis. While in Dirge of Cerberus, he has all of 2 minutes for an appearnce, he will be a big part in the central story of Crisis Core. Obviously having his 2 minutes in DoC dubbed, he will ultimately have his voice dubbed over in Crisis Core.
Genesis's english voice actor is Robin Atkin Downes, or you might know him as Luxord from Kingdom Hearts II. The kicker? Genesis has an ENGLISH accent.
Anyway, back to spoiling.
So now that Dirge of Cerberus has come out and we've seen the character Genesis, this now leaves room for the FFVII Prequel~ Crisis Core, which will be considered the first installment of the FFVII games. Gackt's character, Genesis, is speculated to be Hojo's real son. Spoilers have already revealed that Genesis was the original prototype before Sephiroth; thus making Genesis like Sephiroth's mentor / older brother. It's said that Hojo conducted experiments on Genesis but failed, so he tried again, thus making Sephiroth who is nothing more than a clone of Genesis. Genesis is the result of project 'G' which is a dark secret held by Shin-Ra. Where Dirge of Cerberus and calling Weiss "little brother" comes in: Weiss was also controlled and experimented on by Hojo, thus making Weiss also another product of Hojo like Genesis.
Very little information about Crisis Core has been released of now except that it will be on the PSP. It seems that the game will mainly focus around Zack, a 1st Class SOLDIER (If you played FFVII, you'll know that Zack, an elite soldier in the Shinra Corporation, was a friend of that game's main character, Cloud. He appeared only in a flashback scene, where he was revealed to have already died.) and Cloud Strife while he is a lowly Shin-Ra Guard. Another character also present in the game is Aerith Gainsborough as her voice is heard in the trailer of the game. This game appears to take place around the events of Nibelheim outlined in Last Order: Final Fantasy VII.
In fact, the story seems to take place during that particular time period, pitting both Cloud and Zack against Sephiroth. Tons of sword fighting, Cloud getting smacked around a bit by his old superior, and Zack beating the crap out of bad guys.
Angeal, a soldier, is an all new character for the FFVII series, being introduced into Crisis Core. He seems to be Zack's superior. Angeal wields a giant sword, which the magazine notes resembles the sword used by Cloud in FFVII. Angeal has not yet appeared in Before Crisis, suggesting that he and Zack met following the events of the continuing mobile saga.
The game's tagline: "A story of three young men and one young woman bound for destiny's core."
A lot of talk about Crisis Core has popped up in forums; messing with the story of the Nibelheim incident has left people speculating that in a turn of events, Genesis's character will be placed in there as the ruler or supreme control, saying that Genisis was controlling Sephiroth and Jenova, making them do his bidding. In result, this was spawned from that theory:
Ney Sqeenix will be more evil than that. They'll probably have Zack, Sephi, Cloud and Genesis having a tea party.
Sephi: Pass us the sugar old boy.
Genesis: Don't call me old *starts crying and flys away*
Cloud: Well there goes the plotline.
Zack: Aww look what you did now.
Sephi: Shut up Soldier boy.
Zack: Your in Soldier too you know.
Sephi: Touche. Fancy some crumpets?
Zack & Cloud: Sure.
*Five minutes later*
Random resident: Argh Sephiroth, you left the crumpets on too long, Nibelheim is on fire.
Sephi: Omg, must eliminate the evidence.

And thus that unfortunate accident came into being.

Thus in short, for the sheer fact that Dirge of Cerberus is, as of this moment, the last in the FFVII series, no matter what happens in Crisis Core, we know Genesis lives. Otherwise, he wouldn't be in Dirge of Cerberus, ne? Genesis's appearance and the way it ended in DoC leaves it so that Square Enix may, yet again, make another game in the FFVII series.
