As ecstatic as I am about Charisma Carpenter being on Supernatural next season, if Kristen Dos Santos from E!'s spoiler about Castiel ends up being true, I may not be able to watch anymore.

To me, it isn't so much about the death - well it is because I love him and it feels like Cordelia all over again - but if it was done with dignity and respect for the character, maybe I'd accept it. Maybe. I'd still be devastated but Sam and Dean were the reason I began to love this show and I'll always love their dynamic.
Still, he added to it. It isn't so terrible to expand and he has insane chemistry with Jensen, if not both actors/characters. My Sam love took a beating dramatically in season 4 when he became the world's biggest douche but I did begin to love Sam again as much as I did in the beginning by the 3rd episode of season 5.
Still, my love for Castiel and Dean/Castiel sortof bloomed during that period and overtook everything and now I just cannot imagine the show without Cas. He adds a certain something, and not just because I've never been a Wincest girl (again, love that dynamic, just not that way) but because he just IS. We hardly see him this season and now the Castiel we know and love is gone? And then, instead of redeeming him like you've done your other characters, you kill him off?! It's just so unfair and heartbreaking.
Sorry for the rant, heh. I just feel really passionately about this because I love the character and the show and this whole season I have felt robbed of its usual greatness and generally disjointed. I agree that it would be a massive, massive error. Misha is beloved throughout the fanbase, or mostly, and from what I'm seeing/reading, it would not recover from his being removed entirely at all.

Bad sentance structure on my part. I meant part of me can't believe they'd do away with him as he's so popular, but then again, part of me thinks they would. - I love Cas, fear not!

You know it's funny but I always look for the silver lining. If Cas does end up going (LORD, my heart just drummed really painfully as I wrote that) I hope he gets the same goodbye from Dean as Jo did :P Heh.
My icon makes me sad. I miss my Cas.
