Om nom nom. It's almost time to go back to university for moar English, French, Japanese, Chinese and East Asian Studies. As you might've guessed, I didn't make it into ~*~law school~*~ this year either, but that was really just to be expected with the amount of studying I did :'D This time around, however, I'm finally ready to admit that my only forte are my mad language skillz, so I'll just stick with those.
Unfortunately I'm still not done with trying to ~please~ my parents, so I'll be taking sum business classes at the Turku School of Economics (both of my parents are, of course, alumni) as a minor. This naturally involves an entrance exam of sorts, so I'm going to be studying for that for the next couple of weeks :B

For our Master's Degree level studies, we get to choose between different "tracks" that focus on different areas of Linguistics. For example, there's the Literary Track for the lit freaks, the SLA Track for future teachers, and the Discourse Track [which is what I'm going for to continue my torrid love affair with Sociolinguistics ♥] to mention a few.

In other news, I continue to be a complete fandom whore butterfly: my newest shiny show du jour is Numb3rs, which I originally avoided like the plague due to my continuing hatred of all things math. It turns out that Numb3rs is a pretty entertaining show even with the math, and besides, I've always had a thing for procedurals. P.S. David/Colby OTP to the MAX ;3; (see icon and also these two caps: Colby [spoiler] turns out to be a spy at the end of S03 [/spoiler] and while he's in interrogation spilling his guts, he glances at where he knows David's watching him and David... David tears up. Oh my HEART ;__;)
The only (good) fic I've found for Numb3rs so far is pretty much either Eppescest (which I find cute enough) or Charlie/Colby (which I can see but don't really care for). dsudis in particular writes terribly yummy Eppescest fic that incorporates these tiny details that are so Charlie that I can't even. Like this following scene in Something Stupid:
Charlie says, "1,970 times 1,975 is--"
"3,890,750." Don finishes, looking sideways at his brother, sitting in the armchair with his head tilted back against the cushion. He can just see the blue TV light glinting on Charlie's half-open eyes. "Me and you. I know that one."
