Glad you enjoyed it. :)

I can't imagine how Spike and Buffy could hide the vampire slayer stuff. I think that would get found out pretty early on. But this came about because I was playing around with the idea of kids not really thinking of their parents as people until they're older, and how this might play out with Buffy and Spike's hypothetical daughter.

This is such a great premise, and I think it's why I love this story as much as I do. I've read a lot of, you know, adorable Spuffy kidfic, but I think this one hits the mark in ways that I don't usually see. Yay! <3

I think I strayed a bit from the initial premise because I couldn't figure out a way to do an explicit "revelation" without being overly saccharine and trite. I opted to go the more subtle route and just demonstrate some samplings of how little Anne knew about her parents and her regrets when Buffy dies.

I had to do one of those essays in school. Hell, I think I had to do two of them. Very stupid.
In my head, Buffy died fighting evil. Cause Buffy always goes out a hero in my head. True, she'd be in her 50s at that point, but I like to think she could still kick some ass if need-be.
Anne would definitely have been raised around the Scoobies. The drabble format forced brevity upon me so I didn't have the opportunity to expand too much in that area. But I think having her Aunt Willow in her life from an early age would have cut down on the coming out angst for her. :)
