Just to address this on the off-chance someone is concerned about it,
LJ is offering up a "My Guests" feature to allow journal-owners to peek at who's visiting them. I haven't read the detailed discussions on it (though I have them queued up in another tab to read), but to give peeps the heads up...
Yes, I opted in to it.
Why? I'm not actually a nosy sort, but I've had webpages, usually hosted with domain names, in some form or another since I got online in...oh...1997. I'm completely accustomed to visitor logs and being able to see hit counts, unique views, etc. I find it's useful to see what people are interested in as far as content, and also for seeing what older stuff is still popular. Site analytics. It appeals to my inner numbers geek.
If you don't want me to be able to "see" you prowling through my LJ...don't opt in to "My Guests". You will remain a stealth reader then. 'Tis quite an easy solution.
