This has been one of the most curious days of my life. Of course it is, because not everyday do I and my good friend who is like my other sister, Claudia, go to a new school and sit under their sorting hat as if we are petite first years ( Read more... )

Merci, monsieur. And it is indeed a shame. Tell me, does that hat make many mistakes?

apparently it doesn't. it's an old hat, though. been around since the days of the Founders. maybe it's rusty.

That's funny -- maybe it's rusty!

I think it made a mistake not putting us with Isabelle or sorting her with us. Of course, being how you are proud of your house, I expect you think we should have been sorted with her!

Word from the wise:

You are better off that the hat sorted out of Sly house. They're a bunch of...(can't use explicit)...not very good people, for lack of a better term.

Welcome to Hogwarts. I'm Castro.

Hello, Castro. Thank you for welcoming me and I'm please to meet you.

I'm sorry you and the Slytherins do not get along, but as of yet, no one has treated me ill from their house, and one of my friends was sorted there. Ce qui sera.

The pleasure is all mine, I assure you.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't associate with the Sly folk...that is completely your perougative. You do your thing, and I'll do mine (how I miss that muggle band). But from my experience with the Slytherins, I'm just saying that you're better off out of their house.

That's just my perougative though. I'm sure we'll agree on a consencus of the two as time goes on.

Merci, monsieur.

(what muggle band?)

I do know better than to expect everyone would get along, though sometimes I wish it could be so. Anyway, that is for dreams and not reality.

(I was referencing a muggle band from the United States called "Montgomery Gentry." Ain't nothing like them on WWN.)

Oh, the United States! Are you a cowboy?

A cowboy of Her Majesty's Navy...Born in London, raised in Wales, among different ports of call...spent some time stateside when my father was called to different meetings out west. Love cowboy culture...I guess you could call me a cowboy of sorts.

I didn't think I would meet a cowboy at Hogwarts! You are perhaps the only cowboy wizard?

I didn't think I'd have the honor of meeting French transfer students at Hogwarts. Life's so funny like that...

I'm sure that I'm not the only cowboy wizard in the grand scheme of history. There had to be at least a few on the western frontier. I know that some of the first colonial settelers of the Untied States were wizards and witches, so there had to be at least a few. I'll have to do more research on this topic.

True, just like I didn't think there would be French transfer students at Hogwarts!

Oh oui? Of course, there must have been wizard and witch cowboys. I don't know a lot about American history yet but that makes sense.
