Little Mermaids

ConTessa and Devilla had a great second day of their swim meet. I actually got to see them each swim an event while the Admiral and St. Thomas were giving a Naval Academy tour to the Admiral's cousin and his kids. Instead of swimming with her age group in the morning, we signed ConTessa up for the "open swims" during the afternoon session. These don't have an age limit, which is usually to the benefit of either non-school associated older swimmers who are looking to get National qualified times or sometimes older swimmers who are slower or disabled in some way. It's kind-of a mixed bag. As a result, ConTessa was a ten year old swimming with 15-16 year olds and older. She is the only one of my three who doesn't seem to have gotten The Admiral's leprechaun blood, so is tall in her grade - it was funny seeing her being the tiniest swimmer on the blocks today.

With the exception of one swim by Devilla, which was about 3 seconds slow, both girls swam B or BB times in all their events, and even on her slower swim, Devilla dropped time from last year. So we are super proud of both of them.
