September Times have not become more violent. They have just become more televised. -Marilyn Manson

I disagree. I think it's pretty obvious that society is becoming more violent. Kids are carrying guns to school when they are elementary school aged. That is ridiculous. That didn't happen twenty years ago. It damn sure didn't happen forty years ago.

Television has desensitized us to accepting violence is a way of life. We've been exposed to so many horrible things that when they happen in reality we just shrug it off. We're not shocked by natural disasters or wars anymore. We've seen it on television and it's just there. We're not moved to wanting to take action to end it.

I've become more violent as time goes on. Yes, I know Seeley will say it's not my fault. He'll say I try and fight against it, but it doesn't change the fact that I am more violent. That are more people out there, just like me, who are prone to violence. We're the generation of children that were born to destroy what most others hold dear.

Television may take the shock value out of it, but don't think for a second the world isn't getting more violent and frightening. It is, and you better do whatever you can to protect yourselves from it.
