Prologue--written, polished, and shipped. A little over 3k and humming along nicely, at least until I hear what the critters have to say.

Now on to Chapter One.

Tidbit from prologue.

The girl had revealed herself a little in this simple movement. Before it could slide back into place, the girl’s forearm was exposed. A set of thick gold bangles encircled the girl’s wrist, some of them chased with what looked to be platinum. Their dull gleam displayed more than enough of a wealth of metal to ensure comfortable passage back to whatever inner homeworld this wealthy child had come from. If this woman were nothing more than a farmer’s wife she’d eat her skirt, needle and all.

Now all I need is a title for the thing.
