I've officially moved in with Jesse and Sandy. It is pretty rad. I can now be contacted at 405-4834. I think. I revised a poem. Here it is.
The Grave of Konstantinoe Boathe
He had died
fifteen years
ago but I had
not known him.
I was only drawn to
his name by my love
for the lost empire
of ancient Byzantium.
In the Greek section
of the cemetery,
you can find his plot
apart from the others.
Every year comes the
date of his passing.
While Sunday traffic
files its way past,
does this man’s family
come for a few minutes
between mass and dinner?
Are a cluster of
flowers laid to one side
and does a small candle
burn its wick after
they have left to go eat?
No!
held down with
discarded lumber,
blue tarps billow over
an uncovered grave.
The quote on his
cheap headstone reads
"Everyone Forgives You."
What sin binds both
His life and his death?
After his was life ended,
such a thing to say!
