A doubt...
I'm starting to have doubts on me coming back over to Iraq to work as a civilian. Someone brought up a very interesting point to me.
" You can have all the money in the world,
Then spend it.
If you work hard you may get it all back.
But the one thing you'll never gain back is time."
I've already given a year and a half of my life up for this shit hole desert....
Do I really want to give up anymore?
Who knows. But I'd say my margin of coming back has dropped from 95% to 75%.
We can only guess what the future must hold and look towards it optimistically with hope in our hearts. Pick our goals and take small but steady steps towards that.
Over the years I know my goals have changed a lot, as has my perceptions on life... even my friends. But, I know one thing that hasn't changed.... but that's a secret xD
