Artist draft submissions
Art drafts due: April 6, 2014
Posting begins on: April 11, 2014
AUTHORS:
Since the deadline for art drafts is quite soon, make sure you're reachable and so on, especially if there are significant scenes or sections in your draft that your artist(s) hasn't seen yet. Most importantly, at this stage you need to be working out how and where you will be posting the fic, and how and where the artist(s) will be posting their art, and how you'll manage the posting date. Remember, on your posting date you will need to link to their art as well as your fic!
ARTISTS:
The deadline for art is approaching, and it's time to think about getting those art drafts in to us! The sooner you can get something turned in, the better, so even though the official date isn't until April 6, you can start getting them in to me anytime!
What you need to know:
* Absolutely every story must have a piece of artwork turned in by April 6. There are no exceptions to this. I will accept it as being the 6th as long as it's still the 6th somewhere in the world, but after that, no.
* These are ONLY rough drafts, I don't expect final artwork here! You can add to it, change it, and do however many pieces you want between April 6th and your posting date, but I MUST have something to show that you've achieved a reasonable amount of work on it. This can be a scan of a sketch, a screenshot of a manip... anything that shows you are working on your project.
What you need to do:
* E-mail me your art at gabrielbb_mods@yahoo.com ANYTIME between now and April 6. Art can either be sent as an attachment, or you can link me to it elsewhere (photobucket, etc.) If the site in question can do private-but-viewable-with-a-password, hooray, please give me the password and leave the artwork private for now; if not, it's okay to set it to public so that I can see it, just don't go shouting the link out everywhere. :)
* In the body of the e-mail, I need the following information:
1. Your LJ username:
2. Author and story title you are creating art for:
3. Link to artwork, and password if applicable (if attached, please specify that instead):
You WILL receive e-mailed confirmations that I've received these, so don't worry. It may take a couple of days, but everyone will receive a confirmation. If you haven't received one within two or three days of sending the submission, please contact me.
Also, VERY IMPORTANT! If for whatever reason you will not be able to complete your artwork on time, please let me know immediately! I'll be very understanding, I promise, but I need to know as soon as possible so I can go frantically hunting for assign pinch-hitters.
The posting schedule will go up in about a week, so if there's any serious reasons for delays or extensions, you or your author needs to let me know absolutely ASAP.
Otherwise, that's everything. I hope everyone's still having a great time as we get closer and closer to posting! :D
