Two were on sale and the rest were on clearance. DON'T JUDGE ME.
From left to right, for the curious: Revlon 907 Steel-her Heart (hardy har har, Revlon), Chi CL104 Wish Upon a Mercury Shooting Star, Revlon 740 Get Reddy, Rimmel 60 Seconds 615 Night Before, Rimmel 60 Seconds 810 Green With Envy, Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine 03 Glow. Who names these things, and how can I get such a gig? I could come up with stupid puns too. Of course, my self-esteem would take a hit, but them's the breaks.
Then, of course, I broke a nail past the quick (while riding the grocery cart in the parking lot, whee!). Not too far past, though; it'll probably grow back by C5. And I got my hair cut, so I feel much more like myself now. Also! You guys remember the old superstition about not being too happy or the gods will get annoyed and smite you or something? Well, I've spent the last few weeks listening to either Bob Dylan or Flogging Molly; in other words, really good music with beautifully poetic lyrics. The music gods must have decided that that was enough happiness for me. While out today, I was subjected both to Miley Cyrus screeching "Party In the USA" (shut up, Miley) and Kesha's stupid "krunk, krunk, junk, junk" song. I had been so successful in avoiding that song that I didn't even know the tune, but it was pretty unmistakable when it started playing in Ulta. Suuurre you brush your teeth with Jack Daniels, Kesha. Want some fries with that manufactured street cred? Grrr. But then the grocery store was playing Jakob Dylan's "Something Good This Way Comes," which helped, and now I'm home with my own music again. Much better. *hugs iTunes* And having an energetic dog who insists on walks and long games of Chase the Dog is good motivation for exercise. I've lost five pounds in the last month. :P
Best of all, Bri informs me that she and Marissa are planning to go to the beach while in Orlando, and will go while Mandy and I are there! We'll see the Atlantic for the first time! I am giddy. :D
ETA: QotD from Mandy: "George Lucas should make an official line of sewing patterns for Star Wars costumes. It would lower our blood pressure, making us live longer and giving us more time to spend our money on Star Wars crap we don't need."
