Helmet to helmet collision in the Steelers/Dolphins game and a Dolphin down - and they called in paramedics immediately. Like, while he's still down on the field. Before they brought the cart out. It's kind of odd that the Colts and the Saints went exactly the same way, though, winning exactly the same number and then losing exactly the same number. I didn't look at the details of the Saints game besides the final score, but I imagine you're right; neither team wants to risk its starters at this point. I can understand that reasoning, but you risk losing your momentum this way.

I did see a few clips! I can't imagine playing in that. I wish I could have seen that game instead of watching the Cardinals lose. At least it would be interesting to see how they handled snow like that.

It does. *sigh* They've just never been the same since Elway retired. I know he's a hard act to follow, but oh, how I miss the glory days.

The latest news on him is that he's left the hospital and they think he'll make a full recovery, but they're still not saying exactly what was wrong with him beyond a head injury. I'm just so glad he didn't fracture a critical vertebrae and wind up paralyzed, though. I haven't seen many hits like that, and when they called the paramedics out before the cart, I got really scared. Half the Steelers had formed a prayer circle before the cart got there, and I'm thinking, OMG, is he not breathing or something? It's such a cliché to even say it, but you just don't want to see someone go down like that.
