the secret of growing up

"Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn't stop for anybody"

enough said... this captures the whole essence of growing up... short, simple, bitter and straight to the point. Don't you just wish that you could change the world?

"Life doesn't stop for anybody'"
--> Gab, so true! Life can only do so much as to take a pause, then plays again.

"Pull your punches and burn with your cigarettes..>"
--> is it possible that they can leave the state of leaving you and that you'll see them once again? hehe. "let it go and then you fold..."

personally, i don't there is a pause...or a rewind, or a fast forward. Life is always "on play", it doesn't stop nor pause for anyone. It does not allow us to freeze time and cherish what we have for even a brief moment. If it did, i don't think anyone would want to press play ever again. Think about it, if you had achieved complete happiness, would you ever want it to end?

"change is the only thing constant in this world." i think that basically explains why things are the way they are..
