I thought this should be viewed by some "liberals" too since my opinions are not too welcome by most Mighty Righty folks.
The following was stolen from Hollie's journal before I lost access (could be LJ's fault):

Keep in mind that a) I have not seen the video, that's why I'm asking for opinions, and b) this was put up anonymously, so no telling what their intent is.

I think that the video is indeed fake. I read the claims, and saw the video, and the armchair forensic pathologist in me screams fake.
For example, the first claim that their isn't enough blood: Well, there isn't! Have you ever cut an artery? That spurts and shoots blood all over. After the beheading, the walls are clean. The arterial blood should still be spraying when the masked man holds up his head. Those walls should be red.
Claim #2: The body was too motionless. Physiologically, the nerves that would be cut would cause involuntary reactions. He wasn't moving. If he was alive at the time, why wasn't he fighting back? Personally, I think he was killed before the actual beheading. The 11 hour time jump (watch it again, look at the timestamps. It does from 2 to 13 suddenly.) suggests that they shot the statement, then killed him offscreen, then came back and filmed Berg's head getting cut off.
Claim #3, Abu al-Zarqawi was killed earlier in Iraq by the US. He's dead. Obviously, then, he couldn't do it.
Additionally, there is a lot of circumstantial evidence that suggests that the video is a fake. Most notably are that mostly only western prisoners wear orange jumpsuits, translators working for the DoD have said that there is no mention of al- quaida in the statement that was read aloud. Even his screaming wasn't in sync.
So, I conclude, the video was, in fact, a fake. Anyone with a basic knowledge of human physiology can tell you that Berg was already dead.
What I found most interesting was that the chair that Berg was sitting in, and the chair in one of the prisoner abuse photos, are remarkable similar.
