gabe stands up for tai :')
today gabe posted a very long blog about the guy in kansas city he told off (video here if you haven't seen it.) in the blog he mentions an older video where he "runs after some fake-ass punk kid" in europe around 2006/2007. though it turns out the guy hadn't been bashing cobra starship at all...
Now here’s the thing you don’t know about the Pukkelpop video-just to
give you some perspective: IT WAS NOT EVEN DURING OUR SET THAT I RAN
AFTER HIM. Those dildos were heckling THE ACADEMY IS! But not just
heckling. I mean, they went out of their way. It’s almost as if they had
been looking forward to fucking with The Academy for the entire month
leading up to the festival. They even came prepared with a sign that
read “EMO FAGS.” They were incessant in their heckling, and continued
calling my friends faggots. And it broke my heart and angered me to see
how it was affecting my friend William, who is a sweetheart and a
sensitive guy, and who doesn’t necessarily have the ability to stand up
for himself. But me- I ALWAYS look out for my friends. And sorry to
sound like I’m trying to be tough, but if you fuck with our friends, you
fuck with our whole crew. That’s what friendship is all about; that’s
what family’s all about- getting each other’s backs.
