I swear to Christ I haven't fallen off the planet. Or fandom.
In Jan I got a new role at work that consists of mind numbing work and 'dead man' shifts. ie, right in the middle of the day so I have no quality time before or after work to concentrate on writing. That leaves days off when I'm shopping or visiting friends or relatives. It's all a bit shit, really. I'm looking for a new job, but the searching, perfecting CV's and interview techniques has taken most of my concentration lately.
I am researching for UZ, I've gone back and read the last few chapters and I'm currently (and by currently I mean about 3 months) trying to figure out how to write from plot A-B without wasting pages of extraneous story. It's not easy to concentrate or commit when you're so tied up in work and job applications. I'm getting there.
Today will be spent unpacking from visiting aliensouldream and cleaning the house with a nasty cold that I mistook for a hangover yesterday, ready for a re-wire inspection tomorrow. Hopefully I can write after they've buggered off. It's one thing after another.
So yeah, whine over. I'm going to try to log in more often, write more often and catch up more often, though I see LJ only lets me go back 3 pages now. If I've missed something important let me know.
Oh, and ASD's moot fic will be a blinder, so she HAS to f'n write it now as you all know it's coming. You're welcome :)
