this morning there was a lady in line in front of me
she had an old dolce and gabbana purse and puffy lips
looked just like the typical hollywood housewife
but her speech was slurred
and she was reaching out
she commented on forgetting her keys,
"funny how things that were so important to you before....change."
and went on to say that it was another day of begging for her
and she had one regret
that back in 1980 she would've made a right turn off of washington
instead of a left...
upon reaching my car a man pulled up in an oversized bronco
looking just like my shrink
he jumped out and was wearing a striped robe
which made me laugh out loud
and shadowed the irony of the morning
