Korra and YJ!
I'll combine both nerd posts today. XD
Korra! Episode 4! Already too much is happening, but then I remember it has to be fast cos it's a mini series!
- Tenzin and his whole family are too cute and precious. ♥
- Poor Korra! :( Why do people in this world always think Avatars are fearless? Especially when the Avatars are still young?!
- Ruh roh, a girl has come to disturb the Makorra ship! She's very pretty! But probably evil!
- No non-benders on the Republic City council? Dudes, you're making Amon right over here!
- Bolin is still cute. ♥ Kid's built like a mountain though, which I suppose makes sense since he's an Earthbender.
- Yep, Mako's not a Zuko clone! XD He's definitely more the "had to grow up fast" type.
- And the best part of the episode! Flashes of grown up Sokka, Toph and Aang! ;_; I WONDER WHY!
- Yukon may or may not be important to the story, we shall see.
All in all, excellent episode!
Season 2 has kicked off on YJ...
- THERE WAS A TIMESKIP. OF 5 YEARS. WHAT. WHAT?!
- They faked us out by first showing the two members of YJ who wouldn't change that much in physical appearance in 5 years, Superboy and Miss Martian.
- 5 YEARS, WHAT?!
- .......NIGHTWING?! ROBIN IS NOW NIGHTWING?! AND ALL GROWN!
- Tim Drake is the new Robin!
- Beast Boy! Blue Beetle! (Jaime, not Ted) Lagoon Boy! Wonder Girl!
- Lots, lots more!
- Superboy and Miss M not together anymore, she's with Lagoon Boy. Whaaa?! Something major must have happened there. (Although I always feared that the relationship was more from his side than hers, and hers was more of a crush)
- But no sign yet of Wally, Artemis and Kaldur. WHY!? ;_; Pleeeeease don't let them be dead!
- In the comics, Wally left the superhero business for a while to attend college. So unless I'm told otherwise, my headcanon is that Wally and Artemis are at college. ^_^
- And Aqualad is kicking ass and taking names in Atlantis.
- Rocket and Zatanna are on the Justice League now.
- The missing 6 leaguers did indeed start intergalactic beef, and are now not allowed near the planet of Rann.
- Other aliens have been infiltrating the Earth! How long has this been going on?!
- Too many questions for this episode, so I'll wait until ep 4 or 5 to see how I feel about this new direction.
Random thoughts. I hope Dick becoming Nightwing is not because he had a falling out with Papa Bats. That would be so sad, cos Papa Bats is so sweet in this universe. They're probably going to set up the Wonder Girl/Superboy relationship now. I wonder if Nightwing is still with Zatanna or if that was just New Years and then finito. The fandom is going gaga over Nightwing being grown now, it kinda reminds me of the craze when the FMA movie came out and Ed was 18 and everyone was all YES HE'S LEGAL and I'm like no, wait, it's still creepy! But then, it's probably cos I'm on the older side of the fandom spectrum so it's creepy for me but not for the kiddies. So fangirl away, Nightwing is awesome in every universe. XD
