Ugh, you are too right about how series these days go beyond the point they should. House was great at the beginning, but then they ran out of material, so they keep throwing in characters that we don't care about and prayed that we would care enough to want to know more about their 'new' story.

And for all I love about HIMYM, I wish that it would just get to the point it's building up to. They obviously know where it's going, but I feel like it keeps taking these weird backroads just because the networks want more money. I'm going to be pissed if that series ends with him only meeting the mother and not showing the relationship we hear bits and pieces about.

All in all, it's about greed and the lack of creativity in the networks. Once they get a hit on their hands, they don't want to lose it just because that's how the story is supposed to go. Instead, they push it and push it until the viewers don't even like the series anymore. Such a shame.

That's interesting about 'Glee'. I didn't hear about them doing things because of internet comments, but man, that would definitely explain some things. I have had many "where in the world did that come from" moments while watching the show.

I'll have to look into 'Community' and let you know what I think. Thanks for recommending it!

That's so true! They killed off the two new characters I actually did like, and it was all downhill from there. When the story is centered around one character, the story has to keep moving forward otherwise the show gets boring. People give Chuck a lot of flack for changing so much since the beginning, but it was a natural process. He couldn't stay the way he was for more than 2 seasons, it would've become stupid!

I'm with you on HIMYM. I don't care if he meets the mother soon, I still want to see how they get married. And depending on how old his kids are, he's going to need to meet her very soon! The networks are definitely ruining a lot of shows with this greed, and unfortunately not putting enough faith in shows that actually could go for much longer. I can only imagine how long they would've kept LOST going...!

There's no concrete confirmation, but it's too much of a coincidence not to be true. XD Tina and Mike danced together once in the first season and the fandom was all OMG THEY'RE SO CUTE TOGETHER and BUT IF THEY GOT TOGETHER THE SHOW WOULD BE RACIST PUTTING THE ONLY ASIANS TOGETHER. So second season premiere, we get a joke about anyone assuming they're dating being racist but they are actually dating. The increase in story for Brittany, Lauren and Blaine seems to be because they were popular with the fandom. I don't mind if they do it sometimes (like with the casting of Rachel's birth mum, that was awesome).

:D Yay! I hope you enjoy it!

Ha-ha, I'm one of the 'Chuck' haters out there. I liked the first two seasons, but when they did that whole 'he can be physically awesome, too! Like a ninja!' switch, I groaned in disappointment. I liked Chuck as a character who tried to do things by his own ability, for better or worse. I also don't like someone getting that magical physical ability when there are other characters around who actually trained all of their lives to be as good as they are. It makes their effort and sacrifice seem pointless, I guess.

Ugh, I have a sneaking feeling that HIMYM is about to cheat. Thus far, they have been doing each season is a year, but if they really want to extend the series, they could easily do a couple seasons in a year. Like you say, the kids are in their teens, maybe 14 or 15? That means one of them was born 2015 or so since the storytelling year is 2030 (unless, have more concrete years been mentioned yet?). That definitely suggests time is running out with it being 2011, but they have been doing a lot of time jumping this season with Lily's pregnancy. Who knows what that means about future seasons.

Phft, it'll be interesting to see how the online community influences future episodes of 'Glee'. At some point, the writers are going to get confused and screw things up if they stick to that path. You can't please everyone and all of that.... although I'm very happy that Kurt got a bf.

That's a fair point! I didn't think about it that way. Maybe cos I watched all the seasons in one go, it seemed like normal progression to me. Especially since they brought Morgan into the spy stuff, Casey and Sarah wouldn't have been able to protect both of them all the time. Although I do miss the more nerdy Chuck, especially in the latest season.

I hope they don't do that! I read ages ago that Jason Segel said he was contracted to 8 seasons and he wouldn't go pass that, so I was hoping they'd wrap it up in the next two seasons.

The general feeling in the fandom now seems to be too much Blaine, Santana can continue being as horrible as she wants, Rachel shouldn't get back together with Finn and there's too much Lauren. XD We'll see how that goes later.
