I finished Mei-chan no Shitsuji, it was fun. Weird, but fun. XD It was not what I was expecting it to be, but it wasn't bad. I am now a fan of Sato Takeru, kid's a good actor. I hope to see him in more stuff!
However!
I'm beginning to think I may be missing some female chromosomes or something, cos I honestly do not get the whole strong, silent, stoic etc type of guy. There are a lot of these types around, and not only in Japanese dramas. It seems a guy's only worth mooning over if he's got some issues. XD
The romance between Mei and Rihito...yeah, I was not feeling it. Apart from the fact that he's hot, I don't really see what she saw in him. Yeah, he was good to her, but he's her butler. It's kind of his job. XD Which he wasn't very good at, cos he was gone half the time! Mame Shiba was saving her ass every episode! I can see why she didn't go for Mame Shiba though, that romance was very one-sided. And Rihito, falling for her because she wasn't bitchass crazy like the rest of her family? Don't have very high standards, do we? XD Of course, you know they were going to get together at the end. Or as together as they can get, with the whole "love between butlers and ladies are forbidden". Of course, all this annoyance from me may be fueled by the fact that Rihito slapped Mei, it was never brought up again and he didn't apologise or anything!
It was weird seeing Oscar from Hana Kimi playing a completely normal character. XD And not looking too bad with the facial scruff! As it usually is with me, I enjoyed this show more for the supporting characters than the main ones.
