The World Cup is over! :( I'm gonna miss it! I definitely enjoyed it more than last time. Maybe it's because I was able to enjoy rooting for other teams this time! XD With the way England are, I'm definitely going to have to have a second and third team for the next international tournament. (Euro 2012, let's go!)
The match yesterday was too intense! I have to say I was disappointed with all the fouling going on with both teams, but the Dutch seemed more brutal. Especially poor Xabi Alonso, OMG!
That really should've been a red card! There were a lot of ref misses though, I know a lot of people are mad about Iniesta's goal cos of the circumstances that brought it about, but if that guy had got a red card Spain probably would have won anyway so... ^_^() I'm quite surprised that Diego Forlan won best player of the tournament, I would've given it to either one of the Spain midfielders or one of the German team. But Mueller got two awards, so yay! I did kinda want Gyan to get something though!
I will definitely miss the football. I think it being Africa's first world cup made it feel more special, so I hope it'll be in Africa again someday! If only cos the fans were so great! I hope South Africa gets to benefit from hosting the World Cup though!
