This is not a solution to the poor writing of female characters in comics! (Although, there are a lot of awesome ones!) This is not the solution to getting more girls/women to read comics! I'd like to see more women working in the industry of course, but how about good writers (men and women) writing books that appeal TO EVERYONE regardless of age or gender?! People don't like things because of their gender! They like stuff because it's interesting! This is how silly statements like "IF YOU DON'T FANCY EDWARD, YOU'RE NOT A REAL WOMAN!" come about! For example, One Piece is primarily aimed at young boys until they're about 14-15 years old right? Every female in my family loves it (mum included!) cos it's a good story, with interesting characters. Not cos of the gender of the person writing it.
AND DEVIN GRAYSON!? AFTER WHAT SHE DID TO MY PRE-TEEN CRUSH NIGHTWING?!
*weeps* THIS IS WHY SPIDER-MAN HAS TURNED INTO SPIDER-HO!
I would post more gifs and rant some more but I've gotta get up early tomorrow and I can't take anymore rage at the moment. XD
