Oh One Piece... ;_;
I'm really, really glad I stayed away from spoilers for One Piece! (No matter how hard it was, lol) I'm quite behind on One Piece (about a year's worth of episodes I think), mostly I like knowing there's still a whole bunch waiting for me. So I'm on the Thriller Bark arc and I just got to the episode with Brook's character flashback.
*weeps*
I bloody love this show.
From the moment, Brook first came on the scene, I loved him and was so happy that he'd eventually join the crew!

But then the episodes with his flashbacks came...and it just broke my heart. It bugged me so much that we didn't get to hear what Franky asked him, but Oda knows how to tell a story, and how to break your heart! ;_; I can't believe that story from almost 300+ episodes ago came back! AND HAD SUCH IMPORTANCE! When they showed it in the preview, I pretty much screamed out loud! And that's why Brook stayed alive all this time! And Laboon! *weeps* DAMMIT ONE PIECE, HOW CAN YOU BE SO AWESOME!? IT'S ONLY SHOUNEN MANGA DAMMIT! When he was all "Are you still waiting?" I was all weeping "YES! HE'S STILL THERE, OMG WAAAAAAAH!"
My reaction was pretty much identical to Franky's.
XD Luffy's awesome. "The Yohoho!" Hahahaha!
And just a little bit of awesome to finish the post.
I think by the time this manga/anime finally finishes, it'll be my favourite of all time. Of everything, seriously. I don't think there will be any other piece of fiction that I'll love more than One Piece. I don't think there's anything that I've ever enjoyed this much. I don't hate any of the characters (unless I'm supposed to), I can (hardly) ever see the twists coming, I've never gotten so emotionally attached to the whole main cast before... ;_; It's just awesome dammit. It's funny, sad, moving, epic, exciting. And I love that there's no romance in the story, cos the romance is adventure. I was thinking about Dragonball today, and I think One Piece will probably end like that. At the end of the story, some characters will probably settle down and get married (not to each other though, that won't happen), but it'll be just cos it's that time in their life or whatever. We won't see it happen, but we'll fast-forward and be all "Ah!" Zoro probably won't get married though. I just can't see it! XD
Sorry, I'm babbling. In short, One Piece is awesome. And if you don't like it, you're missing some grey matter. :P
