Pushing Daisies Season 1 Picspam: Episode 1
Be warned, this will have spoilers if you haven't seen the show before. Also be warned that this mostly consists of me telling my favourite parts of the episode and fangirling the pie maker. There'll be lots of pie maker. XD
This is Ned and his dog Digby. They're playing, all cute and stuff.
Til Digby gets hit by a truck and dies. :(
Ned touches his dog and he comes back to life.
Insert Keanu style "Woah" here. Of course, there are rules to this new power that Ned has, but we'll get to that later.
Ned had more important things on his mind. He fell in love with the girl next door, Charlotte Charles, aka Chuck. "Chuck came ready-made from the Play Dough factory of life." Awwww.
They like to play Destroy the Play Dough City! XD
Ned unfortunately learned the rules to his powers in a very tragic way. His mum died, and he brought her back to life. Because he kept her alive for more than one minute, Chuck's dad died for balance. But when Ned's mum kissed him goodnight, she went back to being dead, cos Ned can't touch something he's already revived once. :(
Ned and Chuck share their first, and last kiss. ;_;
Ned grew up and became sexy! The Pie Maker.
He owns this place.
This is Emerson Cod. He's awesome. He's a PI who discovers Ned's secret and uses it to ask dead people who killed them and collect the reward for finding the killer. He splits the money 50/50 with Ned. He's also snarktastic.
These two pics were brought to you because I think Ned looks hot in this scene. His little freakout at touching and re-touching that thief was hilarious, bless.
"Can't we say alive again?" ♥
This is Olive Snook. She works at The Pie Hole and is in love with Ned. Not that I can blame her. She's awesome too, but we'll get to that later.
The first case of this episode, a dog that killed his owner. Except the family can't believe the dog would do that, so they put a reward to find the real killer.

Lee Pace is very tall, but not as tall as he looks in this pic. Kristin Chenoweth is quite short.
Olive tries hitting on Ned, which makes him quite uncomfortable.
He had a tough time keeping his eyes off those too!
The way he says "I get touched" in this scene is so hilarious. It kinda sounded like a question rather than a statement.
Ned hears on the news that a girl died on a cruise and can't seem to stop watching. He finds out later that the girl was Chuck. Emerson is put on the case...
...and they head back to Ned's hometown.
They both look too tall for that bus. XD
"Only Prince Charming could know how the pie maker felt upon looking at her." Awwww. Ned brings Chuck back to life.
And she gives him a slight concussion. XD
They discuss the events that have transpired, get all cute and mushy about how they were each others first kiss. But I really post this pic cos Ned's smile here is so cute.
They talk about how it'd be nice if Ned could be Chuck's last kiss too, but then he decides he wants to keep her alive. The undertaker at the funeral home drops dead in Chuck's place.

These are Chuck's aunts Lily and Vivian. They took her in after her father died. We'll come back to them later.
"Only Sleeping Beauty could know how she felt at this moment." Awww, PD, stop making me all I CAN'T TAKE THE CUTE!

Chuck finds out that she can't ever touch Ned or she'll die. Usually at this point, when the romantic leads have something this sad or tragic coming between them, I'm hesitant to continue watching cos of all the heartbreak that will follow. But then Chuck says stuff like this: "I can't even hug you? What if you need a hug? A hug can turn your day around." and says stuff like "Emotional Heimlich" and I get all ;_; THEY'RE SO ADORABLE!
Ned's reaction upon being asked if a kiss was out of the question.
"I've lost my train of thought." Honey, you're not the only one.

Chuck and Olive meet. What does Olive say to the woman coming out of Ned's apartment? "Does he touch you?" LOL moment of the episode. XD

"That's how I roll." Hahahaha.
Ned tells Emerson that he accidentally killed Chuck's dad, and that he couldn't let her die as well. :( Ned explains that the person that died in Chuck's place is chosen by "sort of a random proximity thing".
To which Emerson response, "Bitch, I was in proximity!"
Deedee Duffield. She sent Chuck on the cruise for free to deliver a package, the contents of which got her killed.
Ned says he feels embarrassed bringing people back to life in front of Chuck so she kinda covers her eyes.

"You're making me hungry!" XD
Ned wants to hug Chuck, but can't, so asks Emerson to do so on his behalf.
"That was from me." Awwwww!
"A good last meal can go a long way. Our penal system makes a point of it." XD Ah Emerson.
Ned never touches anyone, but touched Vivian's hand to make her feel better. Only to find out that she doesn't like to be touched. I felt sorry for him in an amused kinda way. Like Takemoto from Honey & Clover. XD
The killer who killed Chuck tries to go after Aunt Lily by strangling her as well. "I can hold my breath for a long time" she says, and then in a very badass way...
...blows his killer ass out the window!

The monkeys kiss cos they can't kiss. ;_; What are you doing to me, show?!
And thus, a new mystery solving team was born, much to the annoyance of Emerson. A wise-cracking PI, a formerly dead girl with many cute outfits and a pie maker who can bring people back to life and be adorkabley sexy. :)
Emerson can't take doesn't want the cute.
They have another cute moment here, as Ned falls a little bit more in love with Chuck. And I fall a lot more in love with him.
They imagine they're holding each others hands! T_T
