Grumble, Grumble
For those of you who don't already know: I'm back in the States. I have been for a week now, hence lack of LJ entries.
I'm not sure where to begin, as my life has been topsy turvy these past few days. Of course, I expected to have a hard time adjusting, but it's the normalcy that got me. It was very comforting to be among old friends and to jump back into activities I had left behind. My two and a half months in India have given me a redoubled sense of purpose.
But that still doesn't mean I should have eaten a burger my first night back. I've been dreadfully sick to my stomach since I returned, and the irony of it all is that the American food did me in. I can hear all my vegetarian Indian friends taunting me: "We TOLD you so!"
But screw it. I love Hindus and all, but it's gonna take a little more than some puny stomach sickness to make me swear off beef.
(Stomach gurgles.)
