keen eyez: no, I dont feel grown up....
keen eyez: its wierd.
Breezy 649: well its hard when you are still partying it up...although you ARE a part of mature drinkers anonymous soo....
keen eyez: lol
keen eyez: see...the way I justify it is that I drink like a 21 year old would!
Breezy 649: except that a 21 year old is able to get in bars and drink legally
keen eyez: well, yeah...I drink as though its legal
Breezy 649: atta boy
keen eyez: and i would assume that 21 year olds are more mature than I, the 19 year old. So if I immitate their drinking tendancies and drink as though its legal for me to do so, I am managing alcohol maturely
keen eyez: travinator always wins
Breezy 649: maturity isn't solely about age
Breezy 649: binge drinking is not managing maturely
keen eyez: well, is a 25 year old with a job and a buick more mature than a 12 year old? typically?
Breezy 649: typically, but what about a 12 year old that comes home and helps his single mother with the kids and cooks dinner and has a paper route to help her out as compared to the 25 year old living with his parents and smoking pot all day?
keen eyez: we're talking typically here...I know there are plenty of 12 year olds that do that...but not majority i'm sure
Breezy 649: all I'm saying is that maturity doesn't necessarily come with age. I feel its experience, which can often times be confused
keen eyez: I agree...not necessarily, but usually
keen eyez: can we agree on that?
Breezy 649: either way, I think that there are just as many immature drinkers at 21 as there are mature ones
keen eyez: you're getting side-tracked...i'm trying to prove something here
keen eyez: but, so based on experience, a 25 year old would typically have more maturity than your average 12 year old? not saying that he magically gained it through a bank account or anything...hes just more at chance to have experience...
keen eyez: so, would you agree that the 25 year old is also more likely to have a serious drinking problem? due to the fact that he has availability to it more than the 12 year old...
Breezy 649: mmmm I'm not as apt to agree with that statement
keen eyez: i'm arguing about how binge drinking is mature managment of alcohol
Breezy 649: oh you're not going to win that one
Breezy 649: correlation is not causation
Breezy 649: didn't you ever take pysch?
keen eyez: no, I took sociology, so fuck off
keen eyez: anyways...
Breezy 649: you can't win this arguement. its what you would call a post hoc fallacy
keen eyez: but i'm not trying to prove an absolute law here, i'm just trying to say that typically (everythign is always typically.) a binge drinking problem is something a more mature person would have.
keen eyez: so, its ok to say that I am managing alcohol maturely if I'm a binge drinker
Breezy 649: then why are there studies that show binge drinking as being primarily an underage problem?
keen eyez: well, thats the experience that we were talking about....
keen eyez: the experience that leads to maturity
keen eyez: so, perhaps the 25 year old had a binge drinking problem when he was underage...
Breezy 649: but now, your previous statement is null
keen eyez: your mom is null
keen eyez: which statement?
Breezy 649: a binge drinking problem is something a more mature person would have.
Breezy 649: and then you are saying
Breezy 649: "the experience that leads to maturity "
Breezy 649: is it maturity? or does it lead to maturity?
keen eyez: so, ok, if that 25 year old had a binge drinking problem when he was underage...
keen eyez: and has a bunch of experiences with it, and grows from it....
Breezy 649: so then binge drinking isn't a sign of maturity
keen eyez: that doesn't necessarily mean that he/she stopped drinking
keen eyez: it just means that they gained experience
keen eyez: and, thus maturity
Breezy 649: so that means that you aren't drinking like a mature over age drinker
Breezy 649: you are still drinking like an underage drinker
keen eyez: it is quite the paradox...but i'll ask you not to get hung up on these things, and focus
keen eyez: in the end...
Breezy 649: HAHAH OMG travis!!
keen eyez: alcohol is an addictive substance.
keen eyez: if one has experiences (good, or bad) with alcohol...and gains experience and learns from them He/she will gain maturity
keen eyez: but keep in mind that alcohol is an addictive substance
Breezy 649: I am
Breezy 649: throughout this whole tirade, I am keeping that in mind
keen eyez: THUS! he/she gained experience and has therefore gained maturity, but still may have a drinking problem
keen eyez: in the end, I just proved that having a drinking problem is possibly a mature thing to have.
keen eyez: therefore, i am managing alcohol maturely

And therefore, ladies and gentlemen, THAT is why it is appropriate for him to be in a club that advocates mature drinking.

I don't know, I don't have much to post other than the conversations I have all day.
