Life on Space Station 191
The launch of the first Residential Station in May this year was met with considerable fanfare and widely marked as a success by both the Government and primary corporate partner Lexington who have touted the station as an urban utopia which simulates the best Earth has to offer. Starting rates for condos began at C10m for an internal studio plan.
Kate Sparks, CEO of Lexington says of Station 191 “if you can find it on Earth you can find it on 191, we have public parks and even beaches and ski slopes with a seasonal climate set to create four distinct seasons per Earth year. There is a world class zoo and aquarium, amusement parks, museums, theatres, stadiums, casinos - all the landmarks you would find in a major city - without many of the problems.”

Zone 19 Red Final Stages
Zone 19 Red has entered the final stage of decommissioning in line with the findings of the Sustainability of Life Commission. 90% of residents of Z19R have been relocated under the voluntary assistance scheme or through Section 5050. Human Rights groups have expressed concerns about the processing times for residents in interim camps with reports that some residents have been remanded in camp for longer than the maximum period of 36 months. Concerns have also been raised about the relocation options available to these residents with an estimated 85% being resettled on MB7 to MB13. Dawson & Kwak face final appeal.
The recent sentencing of Paul Dawson and Peter Kwak, former CEO and COO of Boarding, under the Corporations Act has left no doubt how broadly the High Court will interpret the new reforms. With one appeal left, if unsuccessful, Dawson and Kwak could face execution as early as next year.

Elections postponed amidst global crisis.
The findings of Committee 305 have supported the Government’s decision to postpone the coming elections for another term citing the importance of stable government during this time of environmental and economic upheaval. Citizenship ruling in Myers Case gives certainty if not hope to thousands of applicants.
In the Supreme Court ruling on Thursday the unanimous decision made clear that there is no grey area when it comes to citizenship under the new reforms. For those zoned outside of the designated areas citizenship is possible if there is a proven and direct familial relationship to a current citizen with CD credentials and the current citizen is able to both meet specific criteria and sponsors the application. Residency is possible under specific requirements in the Employment Act, pending sponsorship by a sole trader or corporation who meets required specifications. In both cases changes to the Crimes Act have increased liability and risk for sponsors while also stripping those granted Citizenship or Residency under these reforms of autonomy within the system. Explosion at Mining Base, fatalities in the thousands.
The extent of the fatalities in the mining base on Planet MB3B have not yet been confirmed but are expected to exceed six thousand. Authorities have not yet ruled out a terrorist attack though no group has stepped forward to take responsibility for the tragedy.
