i got mad friends with benzes
so how i got this car is pretty awesome too. i've been checking craigslist on and off for a decent diesel. I saw this one and saw in the picture that it was parked in front of the sausage factory down the street from me... yes i live down the street from a sausage factory, and no i dont come in contact with it very often, thank goodness.
so when i saw the post *last night* i emailed the guy and was like "hey i live right down the street from you, can i swing by," but he never got back to me. This this morning i was riding my little bike by his street and i saw that he was showing it to someone. so i swung by and said "hey! i emailed you, do you have time to show it to me?" and he said he got soooo many phone calls about it that he hadnt even gotten around to the emails. and there were about twelve people in line in front of me so he probably wouldnt even get that far down the list.
i told him ok and to just give me a call if he wants to show it and left. but then he calls back about fifteen minutes later and says hes so overwhelmed with giving people directions to his house and waiting for them and wondering if theyll show up that he figured he'd call me since i obviously knew where it was.
so i went and drove it around and we talked a bunch. he's this really cute little art boy and i was really tempted to just ask him out.
i said i'd take the car and then we did paperwork in his awesome house for like an hour and then we went over to my house so i could write him a check and poof! i have a car. it was all so easy and pleasant. and he works at one of my favorite bars and said he'd buy me a drink whenever i was there...
then i went to the dmv an hour before it closed(!) and somehow got all the paperwork done for that car AND my junked car.
i am very excited. can you tell? tomorrow i will get my first tank of biofuel!
AND! this is the awesome *woman/worker owned co-op* where i am getting it. aggghhh all that AND chicks in mechanics coveralls!
