I guess this would be my first post on this site; although it's not my first blog. I'm still learning about the advantages of becoming a member to LiveJournal. Honestly, I'm not the best at keeping up with my blogs. I have a great imagination and have considered writing many times; however, I am (1) not that great on follow-through (when it comes to writing), and (2) not an English major.
My major interests--at the moment--are: Bones, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, reading, scrapbooking, wine, finding a career, and meeting new people in the area. I certainly cannot be called a "boring" person since I am quite eclectic with my passions/hobbies. My sense of humor ranges from dry-sarcastic (Arrested Development) to slap-stick (Reno 911!).
Last night, I attended Laurell K. Hamilton's book signing for "Blood Noir", the latest in her Anita Blake series. It was my first book signing and let me just say, WOW. I saw/met all different kinds of people. Laurell was very personable and witty, so much so I could honestly say that I believe we could be friends, had we met under different circumstances. The fans ranged from women in goth gear to a pair dressed in the dominant-submissive gear (which honestly would be ok at a club or something similar; but not so much in an Barnes and Noble store). Though it was rather nice to be out and about amongst people with similar interests (the book series). I have to admit that I was hesitant about the latest book, but after finishing it--in less than 24 hrs--I have to say it was much more enjoyable than the previous two.
I guess that's it for now. I may write later about my thoughts on the various season finales that I watched. Who knows...
