Introduction post
So, since I've gotten new friends recently, I thought it was about time I put an introduction post on here.
I always have a hard time with these things because I don't know what to say. I'm Rachael. I'm 28 years old and a total fangirl. I probably fangirl way too much for my age, but I can't help it. My current obsession fandom is The Vampire Diaries. I absolutely adore Caroline Forbes & Katherine Pierce. I have a guilty pleasure of shipping Damon/Caroline, thanks to youcallitwinter who totally got me started on that. My journal includes a lot of rantings etc. of The Vampire Diaries, but since it's summer and it's on break, I'll probably be ranting about other shows until it comes back. I also ship Damon/Elena, Klaus/Caroline, Stefan/Caroline, Stefan/Katherine, Jeremy/Bonnie, Damon/Katherine, and Jenna/Alaric.
In other fandoms, I absolutely adore Supernatural (although I prefer the earlier seasons), True Blood, Buffy (it will always hold a special place in my heart - my very first fandom), Angel the Series, LOST, & Harry Potter. I've also just recently gotten into The Big Bang Theory (omg, I love Sheldon SO MUCH). I also adore Disney movies, especially the ones that I grew up with. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite animated movie ever.
I have a ginormous girl crush on Nina Dobrev, and I have this thing for Nina/Ian. They are my favorite celebrity couple and I love them to pieces (not to mention they're really cute together). I also have a girl crush on Candice Accola, Ashley Greene & Emma Watson.
Music is my life. I love it. It takes me places, and I really love it all. Pop, rock, country, alternative, punk, rap (it really depends on the artist on that one, though). You can find my music preferences on my last.fm. I probably spend more money on CDs every year alone than anything else I own. Music has always been a big thing in my life - it's like my crack. I can't get enough of it.
In my real life, I have a husband named Jeff, we've been married 5 years (our anniversary was yesterday, May 20th), and we are owned by 4 cats. Jeff had cancer a few years ago so it's very unlikely that we can have children, but I have my cats. They are like my babies. I'm really close to my cousin Alisha, she's like my sister. She lives with me and my husband. She's into the same fandoms I am - in fact, she's the one who has gotten me into most of the fandoms I'm currently into. I don't really do much offline. I do have bi-polar, and I am sane on medications that I take, but I get disability because I can't really work very well with the ups and the downs that I have, although I am contemplating going back to school in the fall. I want to get a web design degree, since I do a lot of that stuff anyway.
