7. A Stroke of Midnight - Laurell K. Hamilton
4th book in the Meredith Gentry series. More sex, shapeshifters, fairies, and fun!

8. Emma - Jane Austen
I <3 Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice is one of my all time favorite books, so I thought I'd go back and read some of her other novels. Emma was great. It was a little difficult to read at times, just due to the phrasing of the sentences, but it was a great story.

9. The Last Templar - Raymond Khoury
I had really really high hopes for this book. I'd seen it in the bookstore a number of times, and I finally broke down and bought it. It wasn't quite as impressive as I expected (don't get your hopes up!) but it was a good read. A bit predictable in places, but overall, pretty fun. The book is, of course, about the Templar knights and their quest to keep some secret about Jesus.

10. The Constant Princess - Philippa Gregory
I know that some of my friends aren't impressed with Ms. Gregory, but I really enjoy her novels. I think this is the 3rd I have read? Someone mailed me a copy of The Other Boyeln Girl, so that will be in the works shortly. This novel is about Katherine of Aragon, who became Queen of England by marrying Henry VIII, after being married to his brother, Arthur.

11. Witch of Cologne - Tobsha Learner
I bought this book because the cover said "if you liked Red Tent" you would like this book. I loved The Red Tent. Witch of Cologne was a good book, but it wasn't as good as The Red Tent. The story is about a Jewish midwife in Cologne who refuses to settle for the status quo, and instead wants to grow intellectually and be her own person. Good book.
