post-festivities
Friday night was winter ball. Fun night. The music selection was a little odd but nothing I'm real upset about...lots of Spanish music, haha. The food was better than last year's, though. REAL MASHED POTATOES. That and the salad were probably my favorite parts. Afterwards a bunch of us went back to Kelsey's house, which was probably more fun than the ball itself, haha. We ate ice cream and watched Mean Girls. Looking back, although I might have not thought the night was absolutely stupendous, it really was a lot of fun.
Last night, Robin, Renee, and Tim came over, and it was fantastic since I never see those kids (especially Robin) as much as I should. :( We played the Wii for a while and just made Miis of everyone we know, and then watched them walk around and interact and it was incredibly hilarious. Tim had to leave at 9, so from then until like, 10:45, it was G1RL'Z N1T3! We sang a shitload of nostalgic songs (Evanescence and Fall Out Boy much?) and just talked about craaaaazy shit. It basically was fantastic.
So this weekend basically wasn't productive as I thought it'd be, haha. Hopefully that'll change since in a few minutes I'm going to the library to work on my research paper. I really don't mind doing research, especially since I like the topic I'm doing it on, but oh god it's just so friggin tedious. I still have history homework to finish. And stuff for People to People, since the meeting's next week. I'm really excited for the next meeting, just because everyone there I talked to was a genuinely fun person to be around. There are some kids that know each other, but no one's cliquey or anything, AT ALL. The meetings are pretty entertaining and you have no idea how excited I am to spend 17 days with all those people halfway around the world in July. :)
I need a haircut like whoaaaaa.
Yesterday I downloaded a Tera Melos and a Minus the Bear album since I'M SO FUCKING HIP. Not really, but they are fantastic bands.
I've been thinking a lot lately. Most of it is just that nighttime blues I get a lot, but every now and then it seeps into my daydreaming. I've been happy lately, but I guess the problem is that I overthink things. I need to stop that, since I truly am happy with where I am.
