Oi, haven't updated in a while! That's mainly because I've been sitting around my house...relaxing, for once, haha. My Christmas was fantastic. I got a Wii (!!!), Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Music, Kirby Super Star Ultra, this Dennis Leary book since my mom loves Dennis Leary and wants me to appreciate his hilarious brand of humor, Kanye West's new CD, the Dark Knight on DVD, a Wet Seal Gift Card, TONSSSSS of clothes from Delia's, and lots of socks. Overall, it was really great. :) The food that day, naturally, was fantastic. Prime rib at my cousin's house, hell yes. I played Guitar Hero/Sing Star/Mario Kart with my cousins for most of the day, and it was really relaxing and nice to be with my family.
Looking back on the season, I just don't feel like I appreciated it as much as I should have. On Christmas Eve, I remember my brother saying, "It doesn't feel like today is Christmas Eve." And I agree with him. Not because the day was bad; it wasn't at all. It just...I don't know. Maybe it's because we lack the childish anticipation we had when we were younger, and now that we look into the holiday for deeper value, we can find it more easily than we can wonder about what sort of toys and trinkets are going to be underneath the tree on Christmas morning. That sentence was so long, haha; basically I mean that now that I look beyond the superficial meaning of Christmas, I'm not as hyperactively excited. I can say that I felt my best when I was at church on Christmas Eve. For some reason, during the whole mass, I felt fantastic. Like, for some reason, religious Christmas music gets to me more than the Jingle Bells and the Sleigh Rides. My Church looked fantastic, and the choir sounded amazing. It's a shame I haven't sung with them in a while, I just don't have the time to practice with them, haha. And this is all coming from a person who is not too super religious (me). Ah well. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, JESUS!
So anyway, in recent days, I've been addicted to Brawl and Super Star Ultra, the latter of which was extremely easy at the beginning but is starting to get more challenging. And Brawl is just...oh man that game is fantastic. :D I'd be playing right now, but there are tons of football games on today, so my dad wants the TV, naturally. I'll probably end up doing laundry and playing Kirby and such. And hopefully listening to my new CD as well.
Which reminds me, I really need to listen to more music. Now that Christmas is over, I really have no need to listen to Christmas music, so hopefully I'll get back on track with some other tunes. I've started listening to Dredg and United Nations more, and they are both fantastic. Actually, I have $40 on iTunes, so I think I'll buy some CDs. I'd buy the United Nations one but NO ONE ON EARTH HAS A GOOD QUALITY RECORDING OF THAT BAND. No one I know even listens to them, haha.
I still have to read 1984. Sheeeeitttt. And finish my history essay, lol.
On Friday night, me and a bunch of people celebrated Festivus. It was a late celebration, haha, but that doesn't matter. I played lots of Brawl, Sardines, and Manhunt with abuncha kids. And ate lots of food. Most of which was Polish, so now my fridge smells like cabbage.
Last night I went over Renee's. We played Balderdash, Rayman, Disney Scene It (which was a lot more fun than it sounds), and then watched random videos on Youtube.
I feel bad now for making fun of all the fangirls who crush on Edward Cullen since I am obsessed with a fictional character as well lmaoooo.
Wait, about the feel bad part, not really, actually. Twilight is lame.
But I still am obsessed lmaooo :D
