Quinn curled into herself as she lay on her bed, tears dripping down her face.
Was it loneliness? Was it regret for past mistakes? What was the reason for her tears? She was Captain of the cheerios, and she was the most popular girl in school, even though she had had a baby not that long ago. Plus, she could have any guy or girl in school at her beck and call.
Her life was as perfect as anyone could ever dream. Yet, she still cried… why? She wished she could blame it on Rachel completely not caring about her, but the tears had came long before she had realized her hate for the girl was really passionate love.

Rachel scrolls through her iPod songs. None of them seem to be fitting what she wants to convey, and she is getting frustrated.
Contrary to popular belief, she does listen to more then just show tunes. In fact, she has two iPods. One for her show tunes and one for what people call normal music.
Rachel believes one should be open to all kinds of music, and so she is.
Yet for all of her songs, none seem to be helping her with this week’s assignment. Really, Mr. Schue couldn’t have picked a worse topic.
Pausing at a song, she smiled slowly to her self. Perfect.

The next day at school, there were 10 slushy attacks. Not once was Rachel one of the victims.
In a black skirt, and bright pink tank top with a white, thin, nearly see through shirt over it, Rachel knew she looked good. But, she still couldn’t figure out how different clothing had upped her status to above being deemed slushy-worthy.
Little did she know a certain blonde had trapped all of the jocks and cheerleaders in a classroom and wouldn’t let them leave until they swore they wouldn’t slushy or do anything else humiliating to Rachel Berry.

In class, a note was shot to her.
Hey baby, how about u & me go out bak behind the school and get our freak on? I got something that will rock ur world. A boy wrote.
Rachel wrinkled her nose. Okay, gross. Puck looked over at her, and then down to the note. He scowled.
Snatching the paper, he scribbled something on it before tossing it back to the boy.
Paling, the boy suddenly felt the need to leave. Without speaking to the teacher, he fled.
After class, Rachel approached Puck. “Thanks Puck,” she said with a smile.
“Least I could do. Only I can say things like that to you!” Puck cracked his knuckles threateningly.
Rachel arched an eyebrow. “Oh, really?”
“I know you’re into girls. And that’s cool and everything, but baby, that’s not gonna stop me. I’m the Puckasaurus. I have the right to flirt with every girl, no matter what they like.” Puck winked at her.
Laughing, Rachel just hooked her arm in his. “You’re too funny. Now walk me to class.”

In Glee, Quinn watched enviously as Rachel came bouncing in with Kurt on her arm, Mercedes not far behind.
All three were laughing and neither seemed able to stop.
“What’s so funny?” Finn asked, a confused smile on his face.
“Th-the boy-” was all Rachel managed to get out before doubling over in hysterics.
“T-tol-told you,” Kurt wheezed.
“This out-of-towner was flirting with me, and apparently he had been here before, because he knew Kurt was gay. So when I told him that I had turned Kurt straight-” Rachel began again.
“Which, with the way you look wouldn’t take much convincing,” Kurt jumped in, winking at the ex-diva.
“Thanks honey,” Rachel kissed Kurt’s cheeks. “Anyway, he asked me to prove it, so I leaned in to kiss Kurt, when Mercedes came up and told him that I had the power to turn people the opposite of what they were. Like straight to gay, and gay to straight.”
“And he freaked out.” Mercedes cackled.
“So I asked him if being gay was really that scary,” Kurt added.
“And he got so flustered, that I just had to ask if he was already gay. And he WAS!” Rachel burst out laughing again.
“I told you my gaydar was tingling!” Kurt said smugly.
“I don’t really get what’s so funny…” Finn scratched his head.
“You had to have been there.” Mercedes shrugged.
“Alrighty guys, let’s get on to rehearsals.” Mr. Schue looked bewildered as well.
Rachel, Kurt, and Mercedes sat down still smiling and occasionally sharing a laugh.
“Rachel, any ideas?” Mr. Schue turned to her, expectantly.
“Uhh… no.” Rachel blinked, and then turned back to her nails.
Apart from Mercedes, Tina, and Kurt, everyone stared in shock at Rachel. She wasn’t taking command of what they were doing? What next, babies that raise themselves?
“Okay, uh, I guess I can come up with some ideas tonight…” Mr. Schue sighed, as if he was put out that he actually had to do something for once.
“Isn’t that your job?” Rachel asked a little snarky.
“Nice.” Santana gave Rachel a high five.
Mr. Schue just laughed. “I suppose it is. I just got used to you being in charge.”
“I have more important things to do now.”
“Like what, your nails?” Kurt snickered. But his eyes were kind; not like they used to be, which had been full of disdain.
“I’ll never tell.” Rachel winked.
“Bet I could get you to scream the answer.” Puck nudged her playfully.
Two different hands smacked him. One was light and slightly playful, slightly exasperated. The other was reprimanding and sharper. And one was tan, while the other was pale.
Rachel looked over at the owner of the other hand. “Thanks,” she said softly.
Quinn blushed, and mumbled, “You’re welcome.”
And nothing else was exchanged between the two girls. Not because they didn’t want to speak to each other, they just didn’t know how to strike up the nerve to say anything.

“Okay, who wants to go first?” Mr. Schue asked the group on Friday.
Brittany’s hand shot in the air.
“Okay, you’re up Miss Brittany.
Brittany bounded up and gestured to the band. They began playing, and she began singing to Santana.
Baby, I'm so into you
You got that somethin, what can I do
Baby, you spin me around
The Earth is movin, but I can't feel the ground
Every time you look at me
My heart is jumpin, it's easy to see
You drive me crazy
I just cant sleep
I’m so excited, I'm in too deep
Ohh...crazy, but it feels alright
Baby, thinkin of you keeps me up all night
Tell me, you're so into me
That I’m the only one you will see
Tell me, I’m not in the blue
That I’m not wastin, my feelings on you
You drive me crazy
I just cant sleep
I’m so excited, I'm in too deep
Ohh...crazy, but it feels alright
Baby, thinkin of you keeps me up all night
Crazy, I just can't sleep
I'm so excited, I'm in too deep
Crazy, but it feels alright
Every day and every Night
You drive me crazy
I just cant sleep
I’m so excited, I'm in too deep
Ohh...crazy, but it feels alright
Baby, thinkin of you keeps me up all night
You drive me crazy (you drive me crazy baby)
Ohh, crazy, but it feels alright
Baby thinkin of you keeps me up all night
Baby thinkin of you keeps me up all night
Everyone clapped when she finished.
“Brittany, you were a little off at-” Mr. Schue started. Brittany’s face began to fall.
“That was great Brittany!” Rachel interrupted him, flashing a bright smile at the beaming blonde.
Santana shot a smile at Rachel and mouthed ‘thank you’ to her.Nodding once, Rachel smiled back.
“Uh, okay. Who’s next?”
Mercedes and Kurt’s hands shot in the air at the same time.
“Uhhh…” Mr. Schue looked torn.
“We’re singing together,” Mercedes said impatiently.
The two of them plus Tina then sang Express Yourself by Madonna.
Puck, Finn, Matt, Mike, and Artie laughingly sang If You Want To Be A Good Girl, Get Yourself A Bad Boy by the Backstreet Boys.
Santana sang Easy by Paula DeAnda. Her eyes kept straying to Puck, and Brittany kept looking at him too, before giggling.
Rachel was up next.
I don’t want another pretty face
I don’t want just anyone to hold
I don’t want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul
You’re the one I wanna chase
You’re the one I wanna hold
l wont let another minute go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul
I know that you are something special
To you I’d be, always faithful
I want to be what you always needed
Then I hope you’ll see the heart in me
I don’t want another pretty face
I don’t want just anyone to hold
I don’t want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul
You’re the one I wanna chase
You’re the one I wanna hold
I wont let another minute go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul...
yeah
You might need time to think it over
But I’m just fine, moving forward
I’ll ease your mind
If you give me the chance
I will never make you cry, c’mon lets try
I don’t want another pretty face
I don’t want just anyone to hold
I don’t want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul
You’re the one I wanna chase
You’re the one I wanna hold
I wont let another minute go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul...
Am I crazy for wanting you
baby do you feel you could want me too
There is nothing left to hide
I don’t want another pretty face
I don’t want just anyone to hold
I don’t want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul
You’re the one I wanna chase
You’re the one I wanna hold
I wont let another minute go to waste
I want you and your soul
I don’t want another pretty face
I don’t want just anyone to hold
I don’t want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul...
Ooooooh...
Beautiful Soul, yeah...
Oooooh...yeah…
Your beautiful soul...
yeah
Rachel sang sweetly. She found she couldn’t outwardly sing to Quinn, but inwardly she was serenading the girl.
Everyone clapped, and Puck even wolf-whistled. “Who’s the lucky lady?” he asked, waggling his eyebrows.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” she shot back.
‘Yeah, I would,’ Quinn thought. Then she stood up, for it was her turn.
“Uh, this song was just randomly picked. I put my iPod on shuffle, and the first song that came on would be the one I sang…” Quinn announced.
“This is the story about a girl named Lucky,” Quinn said, before singing the song.
Early morning
She wakes up
Knock, knock, knock on the door
It's time for makeup
Perfect smile
It's you they're all waiting for
They go
Isn't she lovely
This Hollywood girl
And they say...
She's so Lucky
She's a star
But she cry, cry cries in her lonely heart
Thinking, if there's nothing missing in my life
Then why do these tears come at night?
Lost in an image, in a dream
But there's no one there to wake her up
And the world is spinning and she keeps on winning
But tell me, what happens when it stops?
Baby
Isn’t she lovely?
This Hollywood girl
And they say...
She's so lucky
She's a star
But she cry, cry cries in her lonely heart
Thinking, if there's nothing missing in my life
Then why do these tears come at night?
Isn't she lovely?
This Hollywood girl
She is so lucky
But why does she cry?
If there is nothing missing in her life
Why do tears come at night?
And they say...
She's so lucky,
She's a star
But she cry, cry cries in her lonely heart
Thinking, if there's nothing missing in my life
Then why do these tears come at night?
She's so lucky.
But she cry, cry cries in her lonely heart
Thinking, if there's nothing missing in my life
Then why do these tears come at night?
Quinn finished, and prayed they would hear her.
“That was great Quinn. Alright, everyone have a great weekend!” Mr. Schue dismissed them looking pleased.
Everyone left, laughing and joking. Quinn in her hurry to get out, didn’t notice that a lone girl was still sitting, staring after her.
