I'm glad you like it. Turning Gaara's disturbing of Sasuke and Kakashi's training session and their fight into a schoolyard quarrel resulting mostly from bad communication was one of my motivations to start this fic. xD

I definitely like your writing style. And how you translate things from the manga to the AU (the coughing teacher, sarutobi's death) without it feeling forced or awkward.

Adding references to Hayate and Sarutobi was not in my original plans, but they fit, so I threw them in. Maybe that's why they don't feel forced. I don't support mentioning every member of the cast just to mention them, either. ^^

XD That's adorable. Adorable in a... twisted, cynical Sasuke-way. I love how even through Sasuke's narrow point of view, each character still has a very neat and distinct personality and niche.

"And just like that... Gaara was adopted." XD That line basically sums up the style of Sasuke's narrative. Very abrupt and forward, cynical, but entirely natural in a way that's far more agreeable than Sasuke's actual character.

Thank you, I did try to make Sasuke sort of adorable, despite of his stubborn resistance. Or maybe because of that stubborn resistance.
He's trying so hard to stay cool, the poor thing.
